UltraPure MALDI Matrices
ProteoChem produces ultrapure matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) matrix products. ProteoChem's UltraPure MALDI-MS matrices are purified by a propriety method designed to yield MALDI mass spectra with increased sensitivity, better resolution, and high signal to noise ratios by removing contaminating matter that can interfere with mass spectrometric analysis. α-Cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid (CHCA) is a commonly used MALDI mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) matrix with a λmax at 337 nm and 355 nm. CHCA matrix is a good first choice for MALDI-MS to use with proteins and peptides less than 10 kDa. Dissolve right in the plastic tube to get your saturated CHCA matrix solution!

2. DHB
2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid (DHB) is a commonly used MALDI mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) matrix with λmax at 337 nm and 355 nm. DHB is a good MALDI matrix for general MALDI-MS of protein digests, carbohydrates, oligosacharides, glycopeptides and both proteins and peptides below 10 kDa. This matrix is also well suited for the negative ion MALDI-MS glycolipids.

2-(4'-Hydroxybenzeneazo)benzoic acid (HABA) can be used as a MALDI mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) matrix and has a strong absorbance at 337 nm. HABA is recommended for use to analyze oligosacharides or intact proteins.
